Lee and Rusty at theMAC

Lee and Rusty presented a noontime seminar for theMAC on the subject of multi-party negotiation. The presentation was part of theMAC’s regular seminar series. TheMac is The Mediation Association of Colorado. Click here to go to their webpage.  The presentation was on 14 November, 2012.

In the presentation Lee and Rusty used the posts by Suzy Driver to outline the unique aspects of multi-party negotiation. These include:

1. The number of parties: At least three but as many as 40.

2. The long timeframes: Can last as long as 10 years.

3. Structure of the negotiation: Tend to be relatively formal

4. Multi-dimensionality: Negotiation on the vertical and horizontal dimensions. These are also known as the internal, horizontal, and ratification dimensions of negotiation.
