Lee W. Wiley: 1945-2015
Lee Wiley was the managing partner of Wiley Advisors. The consultancy specialized in finance, sales/marketing, and planning. He had been as associate with Negotiation Guidance Associates since its inception in 2009.
He began his business career as a lending trainee at Chemical Bank in New York (now Chase) after receiving a BA in Economics from Lafayette College. Lee worked at Chemical Bank as a Credit Officer until he moved to Houston to join a large Houston bank. Wiley was hired by one of his loan customers, Crutcher Resources (AMEX), to do finance. Crutcher was involved in refrigeration, pipeline construction equipment, and oil field service. He left Crutcher to become President of a steel construction company specializing in refineries and chemical plants. Wiley branched into other entrepreneurial ventures including refinery maintenance, oilfield well service, and computer systems sales and programming. In 1980, he began building a programming and marketing company specialized in employee work scheduling and work control systems. That business sold in 2005, when Wiley began work in the Houston homebuilding market. In 2007, Wiley formed Wiley Advisors.
He is survived by his wife, daughter, son-in-law and grandson.
